There are some crafts that are great to set up to keep little hands busy while we finish up getting dinner ready or simply being able to enjoy a cup of tea while it is still relatively warm. This butterfly craft is one of these crafts.

To set up your own butterfly craft you will need:
- Heart shaped cookie cutters
- Paint
- Pom poms
- Glue
- Paint brush
- Mini gems
- Pens
Simply set up all the supplies for your little one and let them get creating. They can use the heart shaped cutters to make the wings and the pom poms to make the body if they wanted.
If you have any books on insects with butterflies in, you could set these up as well so that they can have a look at all the different types of butterflies they are. This sort of thing is a wonderful conversation starter for children as well. You could use it to discuss the life cycle of a butterfly or why butterflies are important pollinators.
